Vegas Bachelorette Parties and Girls Weekend in Las Vegas

We sent 7 lovely ladies to Vegas to get the scoop on all that the town has to offer for Bachelorette Parties and Girlfriend Getaways.  You have all heard the phrase, “What Happens in Vegas…Stays in Vegas.”  Well most of what happened with our girls had to “Stay in Vegas.”  We said they were lovely, not innocent!  We managed to get some tidbits and Las Vegas travel tips out of them for your reading pleasure.

Unlike their male counterparts, most girls go to Vegas for shopping, dining, nightlife, shows, and of course tanning by the pool.  So we decided to have our girls stay in two adjacent 2 bedroom suites at the beautiful Meridian Luxury Suites.  The condo style property does not have a casino, but it is only one block from The Strip in an amazing location near everything you would want.  So our group was able to have some privacy and escape from the 24 hour chaos whenever they wanted.  They enjoyed lounging by the pool with cocktails in an intimate setting.

The Meridian is perfect for small groups as each 2 bedroom sleeps 4 comfortably.  You would not want 4 girls sharing one bathroom in a standard hotel room.  So again The Meridian Suites and their 2 bathrooms in each room came in handy as our 7 girls rushed from bikinis to cocktail dresses for the evening festivities.  The suites also had plenty of comfy couches with full kitchens for the group to gather and gossip before and after all their adventures.

The staff and especially the Concierge Team at the Meridian were outstanding.  They helped the girls get on the “real” guest-lists at the clubs (not the fake ones where you still have to wait in line and pay covers).  So, are you wondering where to go for Las Vegas nightlife, dance clubs and debauchery?

Our vixens headed to The Palms Casino Resort where they had the privilege of visiting four of the clubs available to the public: Ghost Bar, Playboy Club, Moon, and Rain.  For more Las Vegas bar recommendations and Vegas nightlife info, check out our other journeyPod Picks.

Upon arriving at the hotel, they were greeted by their guide, Ian.  He led them to an elevator off the main casino floor, and –whiz- they were at the top of the Palms.  Ghost Bar is an ultra-cool lounge with an incredible outdoor balcony bar.  Big with the A-Listers (we once spotted Robin Leach), you need to reserve tables inside in advance. The rest of the party is outside. The view is simply incredible. You can look out and see The Strip many, many stories down below.  There is also the translucent floor where you can see how far the drop really is firsthand.  A great place to begin an evening out on the town.

Ian met our group back on the casino floor with a smile and led them around the slot machines, past the lines of regular tourists waiting for their chance to go to our next venue: The Playboy Club. We were particularly excited about this place because of the famed “bunny dip.” Again our ladies were whisked up to the top of the other tower at the Palms, across from Ghost Bar.  The Playboy Club looks like what you might expect to find in the game room at the Playboy Mansion. Rich woods, luscious waitresses (all outfitted in the trademark bunny costumes) and fat men with big watches at the casino tables.  There was the $20.00 glass of champagne to imbibe or the water of choice, Fiji.  Everything was exclusive and rich just like Heff would want it.

From The Playboy Club, they took an escalator up one floor to Moon. It’s a small club, with a retractable roof.  Apparently Ghost Bar looks down on it.  The dancers who got on top of the booths in the center section of the club did set the sexy mood, as did the drinks in which our main characters in this story were certainly partaking.

Finally, as they all were soaring past sobriety, they went downstairs to Rain.  First of all, the place is HUGE. There is a center sculptor that shoots fire and yes, you can feel it on your face just slightly.  Biz Marquee (‘memba him?) was the guest DJ.  It was packed to the gills, but very entertaining. Very clubby indeed.

Our crew also checked out Mix at Mandalay Bay which has it all: a great loungy atmosphere, a killer balcony with a view to die for, a designated dance floor and the most surprising bathroom we’ve ever used.  As our featured females sipped their cocktails, they gazed at Luxor and beyond, enjoying the fact that life doesn’t get much better.
