A Caribbean Dream Vacation

If you’re planning an exotic Caribbean vacation, there are many destinations to choose from.  Whether it is a family holiday or just a personal getaway, you won’t be disappointed with some of these exciting options.  The Caribbean is rich with history. Christopher Columbus visited this area and no doubt was amazed by its beauty.

The food of this region is a delicious mixture of these cultures. So, sit back, relax and enjoy local land and seafood specialties surrounded by super friendly locals!

The music of the people here is a blend of Afro-Caribbean and Latin American.  Steel drum bands play calypso, salsa, reggae & classical island drumming. You can’t help but get up and dance!

The Caribbean is also famous for its strong Rum.  Pirates and rum has always been part of the islands’ history. Many a-drunken battles were fought between swashbucklers and buccaneers.

Rum is made from sugar cane that is harvested and processed to remove the cane juice which is molasses. It is then distilled and put into barrels to age. If you are lucky you can find a distillery tour in the area you will be visiting. Distillery tour locations are in Jamaica, Barbados, Croix, Martinique and Grenada.  Take a tour and see how it is made and hopefully take home a sample or two!

Depending on the time of year, you may be able to find a festival or two going on in the area. Carnivals and music and dance are a way of life in the Caribbean.
