Ashton Kutcher Takes on Ted Turner & CNN on Twitter

                                                                          

Who would have thought that 70’s show star Ashton Kutcher would cause such a stir on Twitter! Well fellow tweet meisters, this is no punk – he is the 3rd most popular person on the fastest growing social network – Twitter!

CNN has the current # 1 spot with 938,368 followers as of 12:30 p.m. ET on April 15th. Ashton is right on their tail with 891,629 followers.

journeyPod is joining with Lil Kim, Oprah and other celebrities who are rallying behind Ashton’s ambitious plans to hit 1 million followers before CNN!

Since we’re based right here in Atlanta, we thought we would take the challenge right to Ted’s front door at 2 o’clock today at the CNN Center.  journeyPod intends to help him overtake CNN even if he does not beat them to one million followers.

To support user generated content and demonstrate the power of social media, the journeyPod team will be rallying at CNN center in Atlanta this afternoon and passing out flyers to help Kutcher overtake CNN for the most followers on Twitter. 

The journeyPod team of social media and web 2.0 experts will also be polling people locally in Atlanta to get feedback on Twitter awareness and Ashton’s Challenge to CNN.  We will be demonstrating how easy it is to use Twitter onsite during the rally.  Updates on the event will be posted on Twitter @journeyPod!
